Memory Preservation at Bellaken Gardens

Interview including the topic of memory preservation by Dr. Jay Sordean with Belind Leung, co-owner and President of Bellaken Gardens, a residential care community in Oakland, California. We speak on memory preservation, the history, development, and current history of Bellaken Gardens and how it supports a diverse cultural community of residents with medical or memory care needs. Various activities and holiday events help residents to achieve their greatest potential and happiness, partly through memory preservation. Interview was done by Dr. Jay Sordean, accompanied by Dr. Byron Fong, DOM at Bellaken Gardens in Oakland at Lakeside Park Community as part of Dr. Jay’s research for his books in 2014.

Dr. Fong’s father had been a resident at Bellaken Gardens and Byron enjoyed his return visit after several years. You can hear Dr. Fong’s questions and comments interspersed in the conversation.
